An open lecture presented by
Dr. David Hiles
Honorary Research Fellow,
De Montfort University, Leicester, UK
25th November 2016, from 9.45 to 11.15, lecture room 52
This lecture critically explores the current position of qualitative methodology, in the human and social sciences, and examines its potential in contributing to a science for the Third Millenium. The human and social sciences urgently need to be placed within a paradigm of Emergence. One example from the field of narrative inquiry is explored in depth – where joint research, between Brno and the UK, has proposed a model of Human Narrative Intelligence that demonstrates a non-linear emergent character.
