Brief Summary of the Seminar
In this session, Dr. Dmitri Rozgonjuk draws from his personal journey to offer insights into the multifaceted world of academia. The seminar covers lessons learned and effective strategies that have shaped his academic development from zero to world-class. It offers both general and specific practical advice on topics ranging from skill diversification to efficient scientific article writing. The objective is to facilitate a dialogue, providing attendees with additional perspectives to consider in their own academic and professional journeys.

About the Presenter
Dr. Rozgonjuk received his PhD in psychology in 2019 from the University of Tartu. His work has mainly focused on the interplay between digital technology use, psychology, and behavior. Over the past seven years, he has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed works, garnering more than 2800 citations (October 20, 2023, Google Scholar).
He has reviewed over 200 manuscripts for more than 50 scientific journals. Dr. Rozgonjuk has also been a guest co-editor for highly cited special issues of Current Opinion in Psychology and Frontiers in Psychology and currently serves on the editorial boards of Current Psychology and Journal for STEM Education Research. Throughout the past few years, he has worked as a researcher in Estonia, the USA, and Germany, collaborating with teams in the fields of psychology, political science, mathematics and statistics, and computer science.
In 2022, he decided to transition to a career in the industry.
