Information about doctoral studies

Doctoral studies are suitable for those who would like to gain a scientific qualification. We offer studies of general psychology (with specialization in general, social or developmental psychology) and in clinical psychology (with focus on research in therapy, psychometrics or public health).
All the doctoral studies are offered in both Czech and English language.
If you have gained a Master’s degree in Psychology, or, exceptionally, in another related subject within a Master’s studies program at other faculties or universities and are considering a scientific or academic career, studies based on your individual and creative work and supervised by a tutor are your best choice.
The entrance examination for the doctoral postgraduate program is an interview. The panel will lead a discussion with the applicants and assess their specialist abilities for scientific work. They will also discuss their professional focus and ideas of the project leading to a dissertation. More information about doctoral programs can be found in this document (Czech language only).
The applicants can apply for studies in general, social and developmental psychology in Czech or English. We are also preparing a new study program in clinical psychology, which is going to open in 2019.

ERASMUS+ is administered by the Centre of International Cooperation at Masaryk University. Signing contracts and nominating the students and teachers is done by the faculties and departments. General information can be accessed through the Czech National Agency for European Educational Programs (NAEP). Masaryk University has been successfully running the ERASMUS+ program for many years and provides excellent support.
